Savitri Jindal Biography
Savitri Jindal's husband, Om Prakash Jindal, was the founder of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), one of the largest steel companies in India. Following her husband's death in a helicopter crash in 2005, Savitri Jindal took charge of the Jindal Group and became the chairperson of JSPL.
Apart from her business responsibilities, Savitri Jindal has also been involved in politics. She is a member of the Indian National Congress party and has served as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Haryana state legislative assembly. She represented the Hisar constituency from 2005 to 2009.
In addition to her political and business endeavors, Savitri Jindal is known for her philanthropic work. She is the founder of the Savitri Jindal Foundation, which focuses on various social and welfare initiatives, including education, healthcare, and community development.
