Education:

Schwarzman attended Yale University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1969. He then went on to study at Harvard Business School, where he received his MBA in 1972.

Career:

After completing his education, Schwarzman worked at investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) before co-founding the private equity firm Blackstone Group in 1985. Blackstone grew to become one of the world's largest and most successful private equity firms, specializing in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial services.

Under Schwarzman's leadership, Blackstone expanded its operations globally and became involved in various sectors, including real estate, hedge funds, credit investments, and asset management.
