In 1968, he joined his family business, Asian Paints, which was founded by his father, Champaklal Choksey, and his uncle, Chimanlal Choksey, in 1942. Ashwin Dani initially started working in the technical department of the company, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge about the paint industry.
