Annu Rani Biography

 Annu Rani is an Indian javelin thrower who has represented India in various international athletic competitions. Born on 28 August 1992 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, Annu Rani has made a name for herself in the field of athletics with her exceptional javelin throwing skills.

Annu Rani discovered her passion for sports at a young age and began her athletic journey during her school days. She showed great promise in javelin throwing and started training under the guidance of coach Kashinath Naik. With rigorous training and determination, Annu Rani steadily improved her skills and began competing at the national level.

In 2014, Annu Rani made her international debut at the Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea. She finished in eighth place in the women's javelin throw event. Her performance drew attention, and she continued to participate in various international competitions, including the Asian Athletics Championships and Commonwealth Games.

Annu Rani achieved a significant milestone in 2019 when she set a new national record in women's javelin throw with a distance of 62.34 meters at the Federation Cup. This record-breaking throw also secured her a place in the Indian contingent for the World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar.

In the World Athletics Championships, Annu Rani became the first Indian woman to reach the finals of a World Championships javelin throw event. Although she finished in eighth place, her achievement was lauded as a significant step forward for Indian athletics.
