 Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian cricketer who is considered one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of Indian cricket. He was born on December 12, 1981, in Chandigarh, India. Yuvraj is known for his aggressive batting style, powerful hitting, and exceptional fielding skills.

Yuvraj comes from a family with a strong cricketing background. His father, Yograj Singh, was a former Indian cricketer, and his mother, Shabnam Singh, was a housewife. Yuvraj started playing cricket at a very young age and quickly rose through the ranks.

Yuvraj made his international debut for India in October 2000 in a One Day International (ODI) match against Kenya. He made an immediate impact by scoring a quickfire 84 runs off just 80 balls. He soon became a regular member of the Indian cricket team, both in ODIs and Test matches.

One of Yuvraj's most memorable performances came in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 tournament held in South Africa in 2007. He played a crucial role in India's victorious campaign, scoring 148 runs and taking 12 wickets. He was awarded the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-round performances.

Yuvraj's biggest achievement came in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. He was instrumental in India's success, scoring 362 runs and taking 15 wickets in the tournament. He played a match-winning knock of 57 runs and took two crucial wickets in the final against Sri Lanka, helping India win the World Cup after 28 years. Yuvraj was named the Player of the Tournament for his exceptional contributions.

Throughout his career, Yuvraj battled several setbacks, including injuries and a battle with cancer. In 2011, he was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer and underwent chemotherapy treatment. He fought back and made a remarkable comeback to international cricket in 2012.

Yuvraj announced his retirement from international cricket in June 2019, bringing an end to his illustrious career. He played 40 Tests, scoring 1,900 runs, 304 ODIs, scoring 8,701 runs, and 58 T20 Internationals, scoring 1,177 runs for India. He was known for his aggressive stroke play, particularly his ability to hit sixes effortlessly.

Off the field, Yuvraj has been involved in various philanthropic activities. He established the YouWeCan Foundation, which focuses on creating cancer awareness and supporting cancer patients.
