 Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, also known as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy or Jagan Reddy, is an Indian politician and the current Chief Minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He was born on December 21, 1972, in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the son of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR.

Early Life and Education:

Jagan Mohan Reddy completed his schooling at the prestigious Hyderabad Public School in Hyderabad. He pursued his higher education at Nizam College in Hyderabad and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He later went on to pursue an MBA from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Political Career:

Jagan Reddy entered politics in 2004 after the sudden death of his father, YSR. He contested the by-elections for the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency and emerged victorious, becoming a Member of Parliament (MP). He won re-election in 2009, this time with a record margin of votes.

In 2011, Jagan Reddy resigned from the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Lok Sabha, alleging that the party had conspired against him. He then founded his own political party, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), in 2011 with the goal of carrying forward his father's political legacy.

Jagan Reddy led the YSRCP to victory in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, winning a landslide majority. He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 30, 2019. His government has focused on welfare schemes, social justice, and rural development.
