 Gautam Adani is an Indian entrepreneur and industrialist who is known for his significant contributions to the infrastructure and energy sectors in India. He was born on June 24, 1962, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Adani started his entrepreneurial journey in the late 1970s when he established a small diamond trading business in Mumbai. However, his breakthrough came in the 1980s when he recognized the potential in India's emerging ports and logistics industry. In 1988, he established Adani Exports Limited, which focused on commodity trading, including agricultural products and metals.

Adani's business empire expanded rapidly, and in 1994, he founded Adani Enterprises Limited, which became the flagship company of the Adani Group. The group diversified its operations into various sectors such as power generation and transmission, coal mining and trading, natural gas distribution, agribusiness, and infrastructure development.
